History of PictureGo!
The development of PictureGo! started in 1999. After I had bought my first digital camera, I wrote a program to watch my pictures in a slide show. Being an enthusiastic programmer, I continued to develop the program and version 8.2 is the thirtyninth release, so far....
Version 8.2 - December 2019
I think I underestimated the impact of releasing a big version like 8.0 was. Too many bugs. Most of them were fixed in version 8.1, the more exotic ones in version 8.2. Right now it seems like a pretty stable version. On the whole I am very pleased with the result of version 8. Which is not so much reflected in the PictureGo! statistics. One of the more important reasons I think is, and I complained about this before, is that nowadays it taked a lot of courage to install a program that is recognized by virus scanners as a threat to your computer. Like I said, little I can do about it.
So far, I do not see any new developments ahead. Maybe because I finally embarked on a project developed for Android. And it has nothing to do with images. So, if you have a suggestion, please let me know.
